Poetry Guidelines: 

Please submit one document of up to six unpublished poems.

 

Fiction Guidelines:

Please submit one unpublished short story or story excerpt of up to 5 pages, double spaced.

We also love flash fictions (<500 words). Please submit up to 3 pieces of flash fiction in one document, double spaced. 

 

Nonfiction Guidelines:

Please submit one unpublished essay, memoir, or nonfiction piece of up to 5 pages, double spaced. 

We also love flash nonfiction (<500 words). Please submit up to 3 pieces of flash nonfiction in one document, double spaced. 

 

Visual Art Guidelines:

Please submit one document of up to 3 pieces. Files should be JPGs or similar file type – if work is accepted for publication, we will ask for a higher resolution scan.

For all published pieces, we retain first publication rights. After publication, rights revert back to you. We ask that you credit us with the first publication, thereafter.

Simultaneous submissions are permitted.  If your piece is accepted elsewhere, promptly withdraw it and inform us immediately at accordingtothecoroner@gmail.com.
